Hello my name is Rocket and I’m a Chihuahua,, I like to express my deepest gratitude to the humane Society of Connecticut for showing me their caring and love and joy while I was there,, I will always be grateful to them ,
This is my story , I don’t know how old I was but I know I was a little puppy ,all I remember there was a lot of yelling going on in the house I live in,, the house I became to call the house of misery ,
Their was Nick Billy and the boys Dad ,,Billy I felt didn’t like me very much he use to get mad at me when I would go to the bath room on the floor ,I’ll be in so much fear I would wonder is this all there is to life if this is it I don’t want it , but I had hope, So one day Billy ask if I wanted to go out for a bit , I got so excited started running around house feeling really good and not knowing why it can’t be like this all the time His Dad comes home calls for Billy into his room ,The Next thing I remember is Billy storming out the house all upset and there I am standing all alone under the bed not knowing why I have to feel like this a feeling like I wanted to die ,
must of feel a sleep under the bed cause I woke up to a nice cool breeze coming threw the window and the birds whistling in the air Nick calls out to me Hey Sweeney want a go out for a bit , I got so excited ,he notice I had my leash on and he said why didn’t I take it off ,Like I could really take it off ,If I could take his Language I wanted to tell him something Nick gabs the leash and away we go ,as he a pouches the car He lets go of the leash ,me being a curious type of dog that I am I cut the corner see a few dogs having fun a voice calls out to me Hey little feller over there, I turn around and there was this big guy a German Shepard I chuckle and said seems like you guys are having a ball ,He said yea where having fun now But we don’t live in a home know body loves us so we keep on barking to keep our minds off that ,The Chihuahua says to me something what your name ,Well they call me King what’s yours he ask ,They call me Sweeney Tell me something King if you live in a house and you still didn’t know where your food is coming you live in fear of being beating with a belt or being killed would you still be happy or would you know not what to do with your life and you didn’t know where to look for the answers ,Would you still be happy ,or you didn’t know what to do with your self
As I turned and walk away couldn’t help but to notice the sadness in King eyes ,The Story begins
